Dr Fiona Franklin

Acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine Practitioner

My goal is assisting clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves on a physical, emotional and mental level so that we can work towards a path of long-term healing.

Meet Dr Fiona

My name is Fiona Franklin and I am a licensed Acupuncturist and Doctor of Chinese Medicine based in Kingscliff NSW and Currumbin QLD.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had an insatiable curiosity for human health and natural health. From a young age I wanted to know all of the tricks and tips to optimise my own health and to make others around me feel better. My first understanding into healing began as a child when my mum would use reiki as a way to settle my busy mind and help me to sleep, and my dad taught me Buddhist breathwork and meditation. Ever since these early days,  I’ve been drawn to the healing nature that we hold in our very own hands.

I offer nurturing sessions where I deeply and intuitively listen to the client and their body to gain understanding of the root cause of their issues, instead of simply treating symptoms alone. My goal is assisting clients in gaining a deeper understanding of themselves on a physical, emotional and mental level so that we can work towards a path of long-term healing.

I’ve completed additional studies in Transformational Acupuncture for mental health conditions, Neoclassical Acupuncture for pain conditions and women’s health more recently a coaching mastermind program to assist clients to free themselves from limiting and subconscious belief patterns.

I have also completed extra training and studies into nervous system regulation and support including Vagus Nerve Therapy and manual techniques to increase vagus nerve tone to support mental and emotional well-being, lymphatic drainage techniques to ease pain, inflammation and swelling, visceral manipulation for organ health and gut support, diaphragmatic breathing techniques and physical release techniques for more sustainable breathing patterns. An acupuncture session with me in more than just acupuncture, I use all of the above techniques to best support you and to think outside of the box to guide you on your healing journey.

I have a special interest in assisting clients with:

  • Emotional issues such as stress, anxiety, depression, sleep disorders (insomnia)

  • Women's Health and Hormonal issues such as endometriosis, PCOS, cycle irregularities, fertility support, menopause support, painful periods.

  • Digestive issues such as IBS, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, weight gain etc.

  • Skin issues - psoriasis, eczema, acne etc.

Each of my treatments is carefully and thoughtfully tailored to the individual. I believe it is my attention to detail and providing a nurturing environment that is paramount to ultimate relaxation and healing for each client. A treatment with me is always on-on-one and includes a blend of techniques including acupuncture, bodywork (massage), cupping, moxibustion, Gua Sha, Chinese herbal medicine and Chinese dietary advice. My goal is to bring you home to your body, and help return you to a state of ease and wellbeing.

Each of my clients are entirely unique, and your health deserves to be treated that way. Thus, each of my treatments are curated to serve your body in the precise way that it needs.
