Esoteric acupuncture is a holistic approach to acupuncture which combines knowledge from Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Ayurvedic understanding of the chakras, Sacred Geometry, and spiritual and esoteric concepts. It supports balance and awakening through the body’s energetic field, helping to restore harmony between the body, mind, and spirit.

Developed by Dr Mikio Sankey (PhD, L.Ac), Esoteric Acupuncture goes beyond the traditional understanding of acupuncture as a tool for physical symptom relief. It works with the higher vibrational frequencies of the body to create coherence in the energy system, expand consciousness, and cultivate a deeper sense of calm and alignment. Esoteric acupuncture aims to promote spiritual and energetic transformation, balancing the body, mind, and spirit.

Subconscious Reprogramming and Mindset Work

thumbnail_IMG_5574.jpeg

Alongside her acupuncture and integrative treatments, Fiona incorporates powerful mindset and subconscious reprogramming work inspired by her studies and mastermind training with Peter Crone.

This work explores the underlying belief systems and mental patterns that shape how we experience life — many of which operate unconsciously and influence our health, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

Through gentle inquiry, counselling, and reflective dialogue, Fiona helps clients identify and release self-limiting beliefs and old survival patterns that keep them feeling stuck, anxious, or disconnected.

By bringing awareness to these internal narratives and shifting perception, clients begin to experience greater freedom, clarity, and empowerment in how they relate to themselves and the world.

Fiona weaves this work into her sessions — whether through conversation, guided awareness, or reflective integration — helping clients align their thoughts and emotions with a new, more liberated state of being.

This inner work complements her acupuncture and somatic healing approach, creating change not only at the level of the body and nervous system but also within the mind and consciousness — supporting true transformation from the inside out.

Fascia Release / Bodywork

Fiona integrates a range of massage and bodywork techniques into her sessions to support deeper healing and balance. One of the core modalities she uses is Tui Na massage, an ancient Chinese form of bodywork believed to be the oldest system of manual therapy. Tui Na works to stimulate the flow of qi through the meridians, promoting balance and harmony within the body using the same energetic principles as acupuncture.

In addition to Tui Na, Fiona incorporates fascial release techniques to soften the connective tissue and release physical tension stored within the body. The fascia often holds emotional memory and energetic stagnation, so by gently working with these tissues, clients may experience both physical and emotional release — allowing for greater movement, clarity, and ease.

Lymphatic Support

Fiona incorporates specialised lymphatic techniques learned through her training with Stop Chasing Pain (USA) to support detoxification, circulation, and immune health. The lymphatic system is the body’s natural cleansing network, responsible for removing waste, reducing inflammation, and maintaining balance in the tissues.

When lymph flow becomes stagnant, it can lead to fatigue, swelling, pain, or a sense of heaviness in the body. Through gentle manual stimulation, breathwork, and movement-based release techniques, Fiona helps to activate lymphatic flow, enhancing energy, mental clarity, and overall wellbeing.

These methods are particularly beneficial for clients experiencing sluggish digestion, low immunity, hormonal imbalances, or post-illness fatigue. By restoring flow through the lymphatic system, Fiona helps the body return to its natural state of vitality, lightness, and ease.

Vagus Nerve Support

The vagus nerve is the main pathway connecting the brain and body, playing a key role in regulating mood, digestion, inflammation, and the stress response. Fiona’s work with the vagus nerve, informed by her training with Stop Chasing Pain (USA), focuses on helping clients move out of chronic stress and into a state of calm and restoration.

Through gentle manual techniques, breathwork, and acupuncture, she helps tone and activate the vagus nerve, supporting the body’s shift into the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state. This activation not only calms the nervous system but can also improve sleep, digestion, and emotional regulation.

Vagus nerve support is woven naturally into Fiona’s acupuncture and somatic sessions, helping clients regulate from the inside out — restoring a sense of safety, stillness, and connection throughout the whole body.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping Therapy

Fiona works with the ancient healing art of cupping, a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique used for thousands of years to move stagnation, clear tension, and restore energetic flow throughout the body.

Cupping involves placing glass or silicone cups on the skin to create gentle suction, which draws fresh blood and oxygen into the tissues while stimulating the lymphatic system. This helps to relieve muscle tightness, ease pain, reduce inflammation, and promote detoxification.

Beyond its physical benefits, cupping also supports the emotional and energetic body, helping to release stored stress and bring balance back to the nervous system. Fiona integrates cupping into her treatments to harmonise the flow of qi, supporting alignment of the body, mind, and spirit for a deeper sense of openness and wellbeing.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese therapy that involves burning the herb Ai Ye (Mugwort) near or on specific acupuncture points to gently warm and stimulate the flow of qi and blood throughout the body. This warming technique helps to improve circulation, relieve pain, boost vitality, and support immune function.

Fiona often uses moxibustion to nourish and warm the womb, making it a valuable treatment for certain types of infertility, menstrual pain, or cold-related conditions. It is also traditionally used to help encourage breech babies to turn before birth.

Beyond its physical benefits, moxibustion offers a deeply grounding and comforting quality, supporting the body’s natural healing rhythm and restoring warmth, energy, and balance to the entire system.

Gua Sha

thumbnail_IMG_5674.jpeg

Gua Sha is a natural, ancient Chinese healing therapy that involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth massage tool to stimulate circulation and activate the body’s self-healing response. This traditional technique works to improve local blood flow, break up scar tissue and adhesions, and release tension held within the muscles and fascia.

Fiona uses gua sha to support a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, tightness, and respiratory issues, where it helps to open the chest, ease congestion, and encourage the movement of lymph and qi throughout the body.

Beyond its physical benefits, gua sha also facilitates emotional and energetic release, helping the body let go of held stress and stagnation. When combined with acupuncture or bodywork, it becomes a powerful tool for restoring balance and connection between the body, mind, and spirit.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbal medicine is a cornerstone of Traditional Chinese Medicine and offers a natural, holistic way to restore balance and support healing. Herbal formulas are prescribed based on your individual symptoms and overall constitution, addressing both the root cause and the immediate expression of imbalance.

Each formula is carefully selected to nourish, harmonise, and strengthen the body’s internal systems — supporting digestion, energy, hormones, sleep, and emotional wellbeing. Unlike one-size-fits-all approaches, Chinese herbal medicine recognises that every person’s internal landscape is unique.

Fiona works with patented herbal formulas and customised blends to complement acupuncture treatments, providing a complete and individualised approach that promotes lasting balance and vitality.
